Prior to joining NSSF, he was a partner in a law firm where he represented a number of firearm manufacturers in product liability cases. Before entering private practice, Keane was an Assistant District Attorney in the Westchester County, NY District Attorney’s Office where he investigated and prosecuted violent criminals. He was also assigned to the Economic Crime Bureau where he investigated and prosecuted complex white collar and organized criminal cases.

Keane obtained a B.A. in Economics and his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University. He is a member of the bars of Connecticut and New York and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for Connecticut, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

In 2010 Stephen was awarded the Civilian Conservationist of the Year award by the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. In 2012 he was chosen as a National Hero of Conservation by Field and Stream Magazine. Most recently he has been recognized as the Arizona Game and Fish Commission’s Conservationist of the year for 2015. Steve and the Arizona Elk Society have been awarded numerous awards from the Arizona Game and Fish Commission throughout the years.

Growing up in the outdoors has led Steve to feel that all of us are responsible for the environment around us. As a small business owner for 28 years he has donated thousands of hours working for wildlife and helping many organizations by serving on Boards and Committees determined to make a difference in the outdoors.

Antonia Okafor – Liberty-minded Republican, Creative Writer at Independent Journal Review, and founder of emPOWERed, a movement of women on college campuses across the country who feel empowered when they use their gun for self-defense. She is also an NRA Range Safety Officer.

Antonia Okafor is a law school bound, graduate student, and Former Southwest Regional Director for Students for Concealed Carry fighting to advance concealed carry on college campuses in TX, AZ, OK & NM.

Antonia is also a Republican Party precinct chair and self-proclaimed “conservatarian” activist. As a former Democrat, Antonia has a personal mission to bring a unique and yet, still conservative perspective to the Republican Party.

Paul Lathrop is the Deputy Director of New Media for the Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org). He started his work in second amendment media as the owner and co-executive producer of the Polite Society Podcast on the Self Defense Radio Network (www.sdrn.us).

Paul has had a lifelong familiarity with guns having grown up in Rural South Dakota and has most recently become deeply involved with the topic of self-defense. His growing displeasure with the state of the nation and the state of our government caused him to create the politics and guns podcast in early 2012. Since then the show has had a re-branding as the Polite Society Podcast and has grown to over 100 thousand monthly views and podcast downloads..
