Erin Palette, President of Pink Pistols & Founder of Operation Blazing Sword, providing LGBTQ-friendly Firearms Safety Education for the “Gun-Curious”. Erin is a blogger, podcaster, and public speaker. Erin is a Second Amendment activist (which frequently puts her at odds with the extreme left) and a transwoman (which frequently puts her at odds with the extreme right). Despite this, she still believes that both sides have more in common than in difference and tries to facilitate communication and understanding between the two.
She is also hostess of the Assorted Calibers Podcast.
Ms. Erin Palette is active in both the LGBTQ and gun community, she has been a concealed pistol carrier since 2012 and came out as transgender in 2013. She believes that gun rights are civil rights, and that armed gays don’t get bashed.
Operation Blazing Sword is her project to match gun-curious LGBTQ people with friendly gun owners willing to instruct them in the basics of firearm safety and operation. Blazing Sword has instructors in all 50 states, and their locations and contact numbers can be found on this map. She founded her charity, Operation Blazing Sword, in the wake of the Pulse Massacre as a way to reach out to queer people who desired firearms for self-defense but didn’t feel safe learning to use them via traditional methods. Since then it has grown to encompass over 1,500 volunteer instructors across the entire USA as well as in Canada, Australia, and Europe.
Ms. Palette writes for multiple blogs, including the Blue Collar Prepper (“It doesn’t take a fortune to be prepared!”) and is co-hostess of the GunBlog VarietyCast (“Everything including the kitchen sink”).

Robin Wright is the NJ Delegate for The DC Project and also a member of A Girl & A Gun.
In addition to being an Environmental Engineer, one of Robin’s passions is to properly educate people on shooting sports and the shooting industry. She feels strongly that in order to make an educated point on a given topic, one must be educated on the topic, and Robin enjoys to assisting in the education effort.
Robin says, “Prior to 2013, I was not educated on firearms and never understood the industry or ever thought I would own a firearm…but now, I am educated on firearms, still learning and would love to share my education with others.” To support the education process, Robin is a Certified NRA Basic Pistol Instructor and is in the process of obtaining similar certifications in shotgun and rifle, and is also a member of A Girl and A Gun (AG&AG), a woman’s shooting group.
Since starting shooting sports, Robin has completed several NSCA Sporting Clay competitions, Benelli Tactical Shotgun Competition (2015), Brownell’s Lady 3-Gun Competition (2015), and IDPA competitions. While she is still learning and improving her shooting techniques, Robin loves shooting sports…something she never thought she would be able to do. And, in her words, “The best part…are the people!”
