Dr. Beth Alcazar, Ed.D., editor-at-large for the USCCA, is an award-winning writer, blogger and instructor with nearly three decades of experience in the firearms industry. The author of Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals and Children’s Firearms & Safety Fundamentals, she is passionate about sharing safe and responsible firearms ownership with others. Beth is a Certified Force Science Analyst through the Force Science Institute and holds NRA and USCCA certifications across multiple disciplines. She is also certified through ALICE Institute, DRAW School, I.C.E. Training and SIG Sauer Academy. Beth proudly represents Alabama in the DC Project, Women for Gun Rights, serves on the board of Hold My Guns, and has testified before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee on Second Amendment issues — though she most often describes herself simply as “just a mom with a gun.”
