Kelli is an osteopathic physician and politician who has served as the Chair of the Arizona Republican Party since 2019.

She also served in the Arizona State Senate from 2012 to 2015.

Republican Dr. Kelli Ward of Lake Havasu City is a former Arizona state senator who, during her two terms in the state legislature, established a proven track record of passing legislation that supported small businesses, preserved the Second Amendment, decreased the size of government, addressed the opioid crisis, protected vulnerable Arizona students, and fought Common Core. She was one the most effective leaders in the Arizona State Senate during her final year in office, getting 19 separate bills through the legislature and to the governor’s desk to be signed into law.

Dr. Ward is running in 2018 to fill the open U.S. Senate seat vacated by retiring Sen. Jeff Flake. She is a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump and a true advocate for the America First agenda.

Dr. Ward earned her BS in psychology from Duke University, her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and her master’s degree in public health from A.T. Still University. She lives in Lake Havasu City with her husband and fellow doctor, Mike Ward, along with their three children –Cameron, Katie, and Nick, plus little dog, Rosie.

As an Arizona State Senator, Dr. Ward, was one of the most committed Conservatives in the legislature and introduced the Arizona Fourth Amendment Protection Act, which would “ban the state from engaging in activities which help the NSA carry out their warrantless data-collection programs, or even make use of the information on a local level.”  Respected Conservative website Breitbart.com calls her “a rising star.”
