Gun Owners of America’s AZ State Director, she plays a crucial role in advancing the organization’s mission to protect and defend the constitutional rights of gun owners across the United States. With a deep commitment to safeguarding individual freedoms, Cyn has been involved in public advocacy, policy work, and media outreach, promoting GOA’s legislative initiatives and standing firm against gun control measures. Her work is driven by a belief in the importance of personal liberty and the need to resist infringements on the right to bear arms. She heads up the Annual GOA Freedom Festival in AZ.
She is also a member of the Women For Gun Rights and in that capacity speaks at the AZ Capitol in front of Senate & House committees regarding firearm legislation and 2nd Amendment issues.
Cyn was born and raised in America’s heartland spending the first 10 years on her families Iowa farms. Those early years framed her work ethic and deep love for America. She has been self-employed most of her 50+ year professional life. The majority of her career was spent in Real Estate sales and small business ownership.
In 2013 her life took an unexpected turn when a car accident left her fighting to regain her health and recovering from a TBI.
As a result Cyn started her female focused firearm training company, Smart Woman Defense in 2017. She has also served as a chapter leader for The Well Armed Woman.
Cyn is a NRA Instructor in Basics of Pistol Shooting, Personal Protection in the Home, Refuse To Be A Victim and a Range Safety Officer.
She has taught CCW Classes in Arizona, Minnesota and Utah.

In his work at GOA Monte covers several states with a wide variety of different gun laws and cultural attitudes towards firearms and Individual Liberties connected with our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

Monte represents gun owners from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico, and Washington.

He is a retired Law Enforcement Officer with 30+ years of experience. Bowen holds a Master Instructor Certification for Law Enforcement. Bowen also holds a certification as a Master Firearms Instructor and has conducted training for departments and Police Academy Cadets.
