Mike Pineda is a 2024 Candidate for Mayor of Avondale, AZ. Mike currently serves as Vice Mayor, and seeks to continue using his personal and professional experience to Serve this small city, just west of Phoenix with huge impact.
Mike began his journey on the Avondale City Council in AZ in 2016. His initial term, in January 2017, was a testament to his commitment to enhancing Avondale’s quality of life. The trust and support of the community led to his re-election for a second term, commencing in 2021.
Professionally, Vice Mayor Pineda serves as the Business Program Director at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) and is a respected residential faculty member. His expertise was honed during his tenure as a Small Business Analyst with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), aiding individuals in business development and growth.
From 2008 to 2012, Mike and his wife owned a real estate company specializing in REO properties. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University.
A proud resident of Avondale since 2001, Vice Mayor Pineda, alongside his wife Olivia, take pride in raising four children. Their commitment to family is mirrored in leisure activities, such as watching sports together and enjoying rounds of golf at various courses in the West Valley area of Phoenix, AZ.
