Donna Anthony is the Chief of Police for the Chickaloon Tribal Police Department and has over 20 years of law enforcement and security experience that includes being a sworn Police Officer with the Palmer Police Department in Alaska, and a Deputy Sheriff in Ohio. She in 2026, is also running for the State Legislator position -State House district 26.
During her time with Palmer PD, she was a Field Training Officer (FTO) and an investigator assigned to the Alaska State Trooper Statewide Drug Task Force Unit in an undercover capacity. She served as a case officer in several State and Federal cases. She has also worked throughout Alaska with many law enforcement agencies including the U.S. Marshals, DEA, ATF, and FBI.
Donna has extensive training in SWAT, Rapid Response to an Active Shooter, Tactical Vehicle Assault, Tactical Firearms, Hostage Negation, Tactical Raid Planning, Undercover Techniques, Tactical Narcotics Techniques, Surveillance Platform Operations, Anti-Terrorism Training, Law Enforcement Prevention & Deterrence of Terrorist Acts, Tactical Operations Planning, FEMA Intermediate for Expanding Incidents, FEMA Advance Incident Command & General Staff-Complex Incidents.
Donna has graduated from the Bureau of Indian Affairs-Office of Justice Services, United States Indian Police Advance Academy completing the Lt. Command School (2022) and the Chief of Police Command School (2024).
Donna is currently on the board for the Woman Police of Alaska, the Alaska Police and Fire Chaplains, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), the FBI CJIS Tribal Task Force and a member of the Alaska Police Chief’s Association.
Donna has received numerous awards for her work including the National Association of School Resource Officers Award (NASRO), Sherriff’s Commendations, Hero’s Award, Palmer Chamber of Commerce, Alaska State Troopers (AST) Award for Commendation for Honorable Service, DEA Award of Appreciation, AST Mat-Su Drug Unit Task Force Award for Dedication, Governors Award form Governor Sean Purnell and the Enrique “Kiki” Camarena (In memory of DEA Agent) Award presented by the Palmer Elks lodge, as well as a lifesaving award for valor.
Donna sustains the highest integrity professionally and personally. She diligently cares about her community and actively supports it. Volunteering her time, she created the Santa Cop & Heroes program in the Mat-Su Valley and without fail has serviced our Senior Citizens each Christmas since 2005. Because of this she was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2012 by Governor Sean Parnell and First Lady Sandy Parnell. Exceptional as a leader and grounded as a team player, Donna has surrounded herself and her company with a strong team of knowledgeable and dedicated professionals that uphold her vision of community care.
She is also the owner of Point Blank Firearms & Self-Defense Training, a veteran- and law enforcement-owned business operating for over 11 years.
