On February 3, 2012 Paul & Susan started the Politics and Guns podcast.  Out of a need to speak about our government eroding our human right of self-defense.  Politics and Guns was the result.  In January of 2014 they decided that a change was in order for the title of the show, and so re-titled the show “The Polite Society Podcast”.

The show started out as a 5 day-a-week podcast with each segment about 15 to 20 minutes long, discussing news and events surrounding the Second Amendment.  Now with co-hosts and contributors Rob Morse, John Richardson, and Rachel Malone it is a weekly Podcast that includes news, politics, self-defense stories and interesting interviews with people from all segments of the Firearms Industry!

Co-Hosts:

Rob Morse blogs, writes and podcasts about the right of self-defense.  Most of his writings are at SlowFacts. His articles are at Clash Daily and at Ammoland.  Rob also has a firearms safety blog at Everytown for Gun Safety.wordpress.  He competes in local  IDPA matches and is an NRA pistol instructor.

John Richardson blogs about guns and money at his blog  No Lawyers- Only Guns and Money.   John also has a firearms safety blog at http://everytownforgunsafety.blogspot.com/  He collects classic bolt action rifles.

Rachel Malone lobbies the Texas legislature with Texas Firearms Freedom.  She is also a Texas CHL instructor and combat weapons instructor with Battleroad USA.

Gary Daugherty  has enjoyed shooting for over 30 years. His love of shooting and all things related to firearm safety and training lead him to become an NRA Certified Instructor so that he could share his knowledge and passion with others, and is the Lead Instructor at the Firearm Safety Institute.  He regularly participates in professional development and continues training to improve and expand his skills. This allows him to offer the ultimate learning experience to his students.  Gary is involved at the local level and serves as the Illinois State Rifle Association’s North West Suburban Town Hall Chairman.
