Warnings Unheeded: Twin Tragedies at Fairchild Air Force Base

Andy served ten years in the Air Force as a law enforcement specialist. In 1994, while assigned to Fairchild Air Force Base, Brown responded to the base hospital and confronted a gunman who was shooting men, women and children. Brown ended the killing spree with a seventy yard shot from his Beretta M9.

Andy Brown 11.04.17aIn 2016, Brown published Warnings Unheeded: Twin Tragedies at Fairchild Air Force Base. The book is part of his on-going effort to share the lessons learned from the Fairchild tragedies. Originally from Port Orchard, Washington, Brown now lives in the Spokane, Washington area where he works for the Department of Homeland Security.

Andy is a husband, father and an avid shooter and supporter of the right to bear arms. He regularly assists in training armed citizens in Active Shooter Intervention at the Firearms Academy of Seattle.

Kelsey’s passion for the industry developed at a young age with her father in Law Enforcement and an avid skeet shooter and her mother, Cathy Williams a marketer in the outdoor industry. She developed her own love for trap shooting and hunting and garnered this passion into honing her marketing and public relation skills for CMG.

Kelsey resides in Fayetteville, N.C., operating a second CMG office.  Kelsey and her husband recently brought home an English Setter, Covey, who they will train to be their family bird dog. Kelsey is a life member of the NRA.


Hour #2 Guests: - Michael “Rod” Rodriguez  - a retired Special Forces Green Beret Sniper and Medic, who was deployed 9 times over 21 years. A proponent of Art Therapy, after getting injured during his last deployment, Rod turned to blacksmithing to aid in his recovery. Rod is also one of only a handful of people who have had their portrait painted by our 43rd President of the United States, George W Bush. Rod’s likeness is hanging in the George W Bush Presidential Library & Museum, and also graces the cover of the book titled, “Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief's Tribute to America's Warriors.” - Frank DeSomma - owner of Patriot Ordnance Factory - POF-USA, which was the first company to take the gas piston AR to market and has been leading the way with their revolutionary platform innovations ever since. Michael Rod Rodriguez 11.04.17b Rod is also one of only a handful of people who has had their portrait painted by our 43rd President of the United States, George W Bush. Rod’s likeness is hanging in the George W Bush Presidential Library & Museum, and also graces the cover of the book titled, Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors.

Following his last deployment and injuries sustained, he was assigned as a Sniper Instructor at Ft Bragg NC where he continued to serve until his multiple TBI’s and PTS forced him to be medically retired after 21 years of service.

His wife retired in 2017 after 21 years of service in the Army, and has three sons, the eldest of which serves in the 82nd Airborne Division and is at the writing of this, in November of 2017, is currently deployed to Afghanistan marking the 16th deployment for the Rodriguez Family.
